If you've spent any time online looking for ways to earn extra cash, you've probably come across numerous survey and market research sites that claim you can earn quick, easy cash filling out simple surveys from the comfort of your couch. Some boast their members earn up to $1000 per month, spending only an hour or so a day filling out surveys.

These sites provide free signup, usually with a bonus for confirming your email and sometimes for filling out your first survey. Compensation for your time may include actual money, gift cards, or free stuff. To get paid, you will need to reach a certain threshold of "points" before you can cash out and receive your pay, which varies based on the site's terms and conditions.
In order to qualify for and complete survey opportunities, you must provide a great deal of personal information and supply an honest opinion about the products and services you are reviewing. Sometimes, the screening questions become tedious, I mean how many times can you specify your age, income, gender, and number of people in your household before it becomes tedious, right? In addition, if you click too fast or provide inconsistent responses, you will become ineligible to complete the survey you started, and your compensation will be minimal for that particular survey. Some sites reportedly cancel your account if you have too many inconsistent survey responses.
